PDI of the South, Inc. is a LA state licensed health care agency providing specialized services in the home of the disabled population, as well as, individuals of any age, in need of assistance with activities of daily living. These services include Personal Care Attendant services, Respite care, Elderly/Disabled Adult services, MR/DD services, Supported Independent Living services, EPSDT services, as well as, providing Personal Care and Respite services with individuals referred by the Office of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities. As of January 2002, PDI of the South, Inc. is the exclusive provider of the National Family Caregiver Support Program in Calcasieu, Acadia, St. Landry, Evangeline, Lafayette, Beuregard and Allen Parishes. In addition to providing care to Medicaid Waiver recipients, PDI of the South, Inc. will provide a personal care assistance staff to individuals who have requested private contract services. Also, PDI of the South, Inc. works with long term health insurance policys, that provide personal care assistance coverage for the beneficiary. In addition to these programs and services, PDI of the South, Inc. can provide a CNA, LPN, or RN, when a specific level of care is requested by the primary caregiver &/or primary physician. PDI of the South, Inc. will accomodate any requested hours of assistance.

Partners in Prayer for Schools also known as PIPS is a non profit organization that organizes prayer FOR schools by adopting classes to area churches and families for daily prayer. We also have a prayer network that prays for the specific needs of these children and their schools.

Possum Cove Sports Park

Possum Cove Sports Park has been in existance for 25 years, primarily as a motorcycle race track. Sponsored by the Lake Charles Sportsbike Association, and owned by the Jones family, Possum Cove has been home to many charity events as well as world class racing. In addition to Flattrack, Quad, and BMX racing, Possum Cove is the ONLY Speedway track in the southern United States. Located in Moss Bluff, Louisiana. With over 60 acres of beautiful parkland, Possum Cove Sports Park features a 1/8 mile oval dirt track, a 1/10 mile BMX track, a 300 yard Quad dirt drag track, and a half pipe with a 10 and 8 foot vertical drop. Possum Cove can also be rented for private funtions.

Our service is volunteerism. We supply volunteers from PPG to many Non-Profit organiztions in the community. We have many events that remain on our schedule from year to year, but our heartbeat is geared towards serious social issues in our communities. We are PPG Friends, working to make SWLA a better place to live.
