The Safety Council Southwest Loiusiana is a non-profit, non-governmental, public service group, originally chartered as a Chapter of the National Safety Council in 1960, and granted tax-exempt status as a 501c(3) agency by the Internal Revenue Service. Now a member of the American Association of Safety Councils, the organization continues its mission to save lives.
