The mission of Contraband Days, Inc. is to promote Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana. The festival serves as an attraction to promote tourism for Southwest Louisiana, while providing quality family entertainment.
Contraband Days is a 13 day festival occurring the first wo weeks in May. Contraband Days is celebrating its 43rd year and is one of the largest festivals in the state. The festivals central location of activity takes place on the Lake Charles Civic Center grounds along the lakefront in downtown Lake Charles, Louisiana. Some events take place throughout the city.
